This NEMA 17 stepper motor is perfect for any project requiring accurate motor control, and also makes excellent linear movements with a threaded rod and a nut.

Stepper motors differ from DC Motors as they rotate by a certain angle (a ‘step’) rather than rotating continuously.  NEMA17 motors are typically used for 3D printers due to their accuracy, but can be used for anything that you can attach to the shaft.

These NEMA17 motors are 4-wire bipolar (2 phase), runs on 12VDC, and has 200 steps per revolution (1.8 degrees per step). The pre-threaded holes accommodate M3 sized bolts.

The NEMA17 motors require a driver circuit to control the motor.
We recommend using the Easy Driver Stepper motor driver.
